Lessons & Other Resources for High School Teachers

Outreach is an integral part of the mission of NCSSM, and the mathematics department is proud to support other high school teachers across North Carolina and beyond. Following conversations at the 2025 Teaching Contemporary Mathematics conference, we have committed to sharing lessons and resources year-round. 

What you'll find below

There is a link to a Google Drive folder for Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics below. Each such folder contains two overarching sub-folders: Public Created [class] Resources, and NCSSM Created [class] Resources. Below each link, you will see what versions of these classes are currently offered at NCSSM. 

How to contribute

If you have a lesson or resource you would like to share, you can [process]. An excellent, ready-to-implement lesson, housed in a Google Drive folder, might include: 

1. A cover page with: 

   • an overview of the activity

   • time and materials needed to implement your activity

   • teacher notes

2. Student handout

3. Answer key

4. Any additional resources needed for the activity
