What is something you enjoy about teaching at NCSSM?
"I love teaching/being around students that are motivated to learn and willing to take chances in mathematics. I also love traveling and exploring new places with students during J-term."
Dr. Pietropaolo's Math Fun Fact
Did you know that .9999.... = 1? Well, let's prove it! We will let n = .9999..... Multiplying both sides by 10 yields, 9.9999.... = 10n. Now when we subtract the original equation from this new equation we get 9 = 9n or n = 1. We have just shown that n is equal to both .9999.... and 1, hence .9999..... = 1!
