Jennifer Fisher

Jennifer Fisher joined the NCSSM-Morganton team in July 2022 as an Instructor of Mathematics. A native of western North Carolina, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a master’s degree from Wake Forest University. She began teaching in 1998 and joins us by way of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (CCC&TI) where she taught a variety of courses, including precalculus, statistics, and calculus. While an instructor at CCC&TI, she helped develop and revise online course content for the North Carolina Virtual Learning Community and served as one of the advisors for CCCTI’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa international honor society. In 2019, Jennifer was presented the National Society of Leadership and Success awards for excellence in teaching and excellence in service to students. She deems it an honor to be a founding faculty member of NCSSM-Morganton and looks forward to collaborating with other team members to develop courses that will help students meet their educational goals. When she is not teaching, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and playing with her dog, Toby.
