Ashley Loftis

Ashley Loftis graduated from NCSSM in 2007 and returned in August of 2017 to teach mathematics. She teaches a variety of courses including Precalculus with Topics, BC Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, and Topics in Civic Mathematics. She has also represented NCSSM in Thailand where she held workshops for local teachers and students. Ashley received her PhD in mathematics education from NC State with an emphasis on post-secondary mathematics. Before returning to NCSSM, Ashley was a teacher and course leader for the Alamance Burlington School System. As a product of the public school and university system, she strongly believes that every student deserves an exceptional education regardless of their background. She currently lives in Burlington, NC with her husband and pet dog and loves to travel in her spare time.
